Process / Equipment Engineer – Regulated Manufacturing
📍 Sumter County, South Carolina
We’re partnering with a global, highly regulated manufacturing organization that is expanding its operations in Sumter County, SC and investing in process optimization and equipment modernization. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting high-volume manufacturing in an environment where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are critical.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and production equipment
- Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and change controls
- Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process flows)
- Execute equipment qualifications and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Analyze process data to identify trends and drive corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams
- Ensure adherence to quality systems, regulatory, and EHS requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Industrial, or related)
- 2–5 years of process or equipment engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., ISO, GMP)
- Familiarity with change control, validation, and documentation practices
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
