The ideal candidate will oversee and perform engineering design and studies for both public and private clients, as well as conduct business development and client management as a project manager. A career pathway could be entering as a Project Manager directly responsible for the planning and design of municipal and private engineering projects, development of preliminary plans and specifications, construction documents, cost estimates, bidding support, and construction support activities. Or, entering as a Senior Engineer – adding Senior Project Manager responsibilities (on multiple disciplines or large projects), supporting business development efforts, and providing technical direction or mentorship to junior engineers, or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other technical personnel.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 40 hours/week anticipated
- Mid-level wage range: $43.00 - $53.00/hour
- Senior-level wage range: $53.00 – $64.00/hour

What are SHN’s minimum qualifications?
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college
- (Mid-Level) 3+ years of post-PE experience OR (Senior-Level) 8+ years of post-PE experience, including planning, technical studies
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience working in a consulting firm preferred
Certificates and Licenses:
- Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) in Oregon and/or California
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving clearance
