Located in Long Lake, NY, Clear Mountain Contracting is a small business that focuses on custom homes, new builds, custom garages, decks, and other residential construction needs in the area. Overview

7:30am – 5:00pm, M-F
Optional half day Fridays (or work and collect overtime!)
Located in Long Lake, NY

Responsibilities

Oversee and lead residential construction projects, including (but not limited to) framing, carpentry, drywall, window and door installation, decks, cabinet making and installation, basic electrical and plumbing, finish carpentry and more
Communicate with customers, employees, and subcontractors to work towards goals and deadlines
Follow architectural drawings and project plans to meet daily goals in a fast paced environment
Help with project planning and material lists to ensure projects are consistently moving along without delays

Requirements

2+ years of experience in carpentry or similar trade, 4+ preferred (a degree or certificate in any trade can substitute one to two years of this requirement, including BOCES programs and trade schools)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work in Long Lake, NY
Skilled in framing, carpentry, drywall, window and door installation, decks, cabinet making and installation, basic electrical and plumbing, and finish carpentry
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Supervisory/management experience preferred
Leadership qualities and a problem solver who can work independently and on a team
Professional and polite communication skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED, etc.)
