The Junior Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of IT and business projects within the healthcare industry. This role will assist senior project managers and program managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities. The Junior PM will collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to track progress, manage documentation, and provide project visibility.
Job Duties:
- Assist in coordinating project activities, schedules, and resources under the guidance of senior project managers.
- Support the collection of business requirements, process documentation, and test plans across multiple business units.
- Help track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues as needed.
- Prepare project documentation, meeting notes, presentations, and status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system implementations, process improvements, and IT infrastructure initiatives.
- Ensure all project activities follow compliance requirements, including healthcare regulations (HIPAA, PHI).
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, IT support, or business analysis.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Spanish).
- Basic knowledge of IT systems and business processes.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Plus:
