Your tasks
- Servicing web portals by updating contact information, responding to part quality complaints, monitoring customer scorecards, determining recourse actions when negative ratings are present, and updating requalification segments of the portal according to customer requirements. Providing monthly customer scorecards to the Head of Quality Engineering for compilation within the plant’s KPIs.
- Reviewing internal (Q-wall) and external sorting data and leading a cross-functional team from production to reduce or eliminate sorts.
- Tracking and reviewing monthly sales deductions for responsible projects and connecting them to the corresponding complaints.
- Tracking representative costs and prompts provided to the department.
- Corresponding with and managing the day-to-day activities of Motherson representatives at customer facilities.
- Reviewing the latest customer-specific requirements and maintaining the internal Motherson Customer Specific Requirements list.
- Completing product audits and tag verifications according to defined schedules.
- Maintaining test plans and control plans for assigned products.
- Applying methods, practices, and procedures according to customer requirements, Motherson QMS, IATF 16949, EN 14001, VDA 6.3, etc.
- Reporting the current quality situation (internal and external) to the Head of Quality Engineering.
- Participating in Continuous Improvement (CIP) initiatives and projects where applicable.
- Evaluating, releasing, or rejecting non-conforming parts according to released prints, customer specifications, and requirements.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing, preferably in injection molding, paint, and assembly.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and CSR requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Core Tools, such as SPC, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, PFMEA, 8D, etc.
- Experience with OEM such as Audi, MBUSI, VW and preferably BMW
- Proficient in relevant computer software (MS Office, Minitab, QMS systems, customer portals, and others).Strong organizational, selfmanagement, time management, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation and report writing abilities.
- Ability to identify issues, generate solutions, and use relevant information to drive decisions. • Ability to work independently or in a team.
