Job Description:
Stuart Dean is seeking a skilled individual for a Metal or Wood Foreman position in its South Boston, MA location. Prior experience at the Foreman level is required. Skills test will be required during interview. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with several years of relevant experience looking for a chance to build a career in a growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interior and exterior refinishing, reconditioning, and touch-ups of wood paneling, furniture, benches, and all wood or metal architectural components at customer’s location
- Conducts the layout, set up, preparation, sanding, staining, finishing, and production of all metal or woodwork
- Assesses and delivers quality workmanship in the delivery of our metal/wood services
- Directs the work of other Technicians and conducts necessary skills training
- Reports deviations and inaccuracies in the work and concerns and conditions of the job site to the Supervisor
- Responsible for the acquisition of supplies and materials to complete the assigned work and communicates same to the Supervisor/Manager
- Responsible for ensuring the proper working order and cleanliness of Company vehicles and equipment used to perform the work
- Employs methods and processes that eliminate waste and maintain high safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in wood or metal restoration
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role strongly preferred
- Must have demonstrated organizational and production skills
- Must have demonstrated above-average skills in all types of wood/metal
- Must be proficient in repairing wood or metal surfaces
- Needs to be experienced in all types of stains, impregnators, and coatings, both oil and water-based
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to direct projects and Technicians
- Must be able to understand and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Must be thorough, detailed, and conscientious with the safe execution of the scope of work assigned
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders, operate machinery and work on scaffolding (including heights) when needed
- Experience working with aerial equipment (swing stage; aerial lifts)
- Must be willing to work third shift (Night Shift)
- Must have Valid Driver’s License
- Must be authorized to work in the US

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
