Position Summary
The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations and logistics processes, ensuring efficient organization and distribution. This role collaborates with Distribution, Quality, and Production teams to maintain compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards for products and consumables.
Functional Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Follow company SOPs and regulatory guidelines, including AATB, ISO, and FDA standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Set performance objectives, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations.
- Complete assigned projects and provide weekly updates to the General Manager
- Adapt to changing business priorities and manufacturing demands.
- Participate in Leadership meetings to stay aligned with operational plans.
Warehouse Management
- Oversee receiving, inspection, and shipment of materials and products to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage inventory rotation using FIFO and expiration-date protocols.
- Stock and maintain supplies for assigned departments, ensuring proper par levels and organized storage.
- Keep warehouse and workspaces clean and organized.
- Plan, schedule, and ensure continuous availability of materials for uninterrupted tissue processing, including contingency planning and forecasting.
- Supervise and participate in incoming materials inspections, including donor tissue, in collaboration with Quality Control.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA warehouse safety standards.
Logistics
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely shipments and prevent manufacturing delays.
- Partner with General Manager and Operations Manager to optimize inventory management in line with manufacturing demand and cost efficiency.
Inventory Control
- Conduct regular physical inventory checks and maintain accurate stock counts based on par levels.
- Plan and manage purchasing to ensure safe inventory levels for manufacturing.
- Use software systems (e.g., NetSuite) to track stock levels and ordering records.
- Perform routine counts, support audits, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with production teams to meet daily manufacturing needs.
Reporting, Documentation, and Deliverables
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse stock, inventory levels, and logistics metrics.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate stock counts and inventory valuation.
- Lead projects focused on warehouse optimization, inventory automation, and cost-efficient sourcing.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in warehousing, inventory management, receiving, logistics, and supply distribution.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and relevant software systems.
- Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, supply jacks, forklifts, etc.).
- Preferred: 3+ years in inventory systems and supply distribution.
