Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to support the Logistics Operations Group Leader in overseeing shipping, receiving, and line-side material flow. This role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials, develops staff, and supports production through timely delivery and inventory accuracy. The supervisor will be responsible for daily planning, staff management, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards in a high-volume Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Development

Lead logistics associates, providing coaching, training, performance evaluations, and schedule management.
Enforce safety standards, company policies, and regulatory compliance.
Support staff development in standard work instructions, procedures, and quality requirements.

Logistics Operations Oversight

Supervise daily activities in shipping, receiving, picking, and line-side delivery.
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments meet customer specifications and timelines.
Process shipping notices (ASNs) promptly and verify purchase orders against shipments received.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

Utilize SAP to track orders, inventory, and fulfillment requirements.
Conduct daily physical and systematic audits of materials and finished goods.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and working conditions.
Support lean manufacturing practices including 5S, KanBan, visual management, and one-piece flow.

Communication & Reporting

Provide clear shift handovers and communicate key safety, quality, and logistics information.
Interface with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues and meet business objectives.
Keep management informed of progress, developments, and challenges.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation Management required; Bachelor’s preferred.
2–5 years of logistics, supply chain, transportation, or manufacturing experience.
2–3 years in a leadership role within logistics or supply chain operations.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Strong knowledge of SAP systems for logistics management.
Familiarity with ISO 14001-2015 & IATF 16949 standards.
