Kelly Engineering has an exciting SolidWorks Designer project (3-4 months) with a growing medical device company in Brea, CA. This position offers a pay rate of $65-$75 per hour and a hybrid work schedule.
Current Project Focus:
- Create SolidWorks model assemblies using 2–3 component models
- Check critical dimensions
- Troubleshoot design issues
- Create bracket models using detail drawings if existing models are unavailable
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Engineering concepts and performance requirements into functional, manufacturable designs in SolidWorks
- Create and modify 3D models and assembly drawings from detail drawings and engineering input
- Perform tolerance analysis as required
- Review and identify issues with drawings and designs
- Manage files, versions and revisions using PDM Professional
- Support the Product Development team with other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Mid to advanced user of SolidWorks 3D Modeling (version 2016 or newer)
- Experience with design tables or multiple configurations in SolidWorks
- Familiarity with PDM Professional and managing file versions and revisions
- Experience with small parts/tight tolerances; medical/dental products a plus
- Knowledge in designing plastic, ceramic, machined, brazed or welded parts
