We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Rancho Dominguez, California, and involves overseeing key logistics functions, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, bringing strong organizational and problem-solving skills to support daily operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage routing and shipping processes for major retail clients, ensuring compliance with vendor requirements.
• Generate and distribute labels and detailed instructions to warehouse staff for efficient order processing.
• Collaborate with third-party warehouse teams to accurately fulfill and dispatch purchase orders.
• Coordinate schedules and maintain communication with carriers to ensure smooth transportation.
• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and proper stock management.
• Repack goods as required, including preparing customer samples for delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement.
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks as assigned, including general upkeep and maintenance.
• Work overtime during peak seasons to meet operational demands.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel for communication and data management.
• Familiarity with logistics systems and experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds as required.
• Strong understanding of vendor compliance rules and shipping procedures.
• Previous experience in logistics, distribution, or related fields.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines.
