We are looking for aDirector, Project Quality to join our team in Cameron, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementtion of the project quality management system, quality plans, procedures, templates, and training programs across the project organization, and interfacing with the Quality Leadership team to ensure feed back from the execution team are implemented as part of our Continuous Improvement Initiative.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems, including developing quality plans, establishing metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of Quality Assurance and Quality Control staff, and organize daily tasks to ensure effective quality management.
- Implement and manage corrective and preventative actions for non-conformances, track quality issues, and resolve them before they impact project timelines or budgets.
- Prepare and present data-driven quality reports to senior leadership, highlighting performance, trends, and risks.
- Monitor and inspect all phases of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and business units to ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Qualty management, in the energy industry, preferably in LNG
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- Must have strong knowledge and understanding of construction process, materials, quality standards, and legal/regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of API Q1, ISO 9001, international quality standards, and technical matters related to ASME and API codes and standards
- Experience with audits, inspections, and subcontractor evaluations
- Well-articulated with excellent written and verbal communication, planning, computing, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel, both domestic and international
- Ability to perform multiple tasks, work within project deadlines and adjust as priorities change
- Possess the ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance
- Have the ability to read and interpret engineer drawings to include P&IDs, Civil/Structural plans and details, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Piping Isometrics, etc.
- Broad knowledge and understating of all industry codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Have advanced computer experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, BI, Adobe, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
