Skywater is partnering with an employee-owned manufacturer looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II. In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering, production, and sales in a close-knit environment. You’ll troubleshoot issues, streamline manufacturing, and help bring new products to life.
This is a small, collaborative culture with high visibility into engineering projects, improvement projects, sales, and customer satisfaction.
This is an on-site position with flexible working hours and (some) work from home capabilities on a non-regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives on the production floor using LEAN fundamentals.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement technical solutions that improve efficiency and quality.
- Support Process Development and NPI efforts, ensuring smooth transition from development to production.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, work instructions, and process flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, production, quality) to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
- Implement and sustain ISO 9001-compliant processes, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide technical training and guidance to production staff; lead small builds and validation runs as needed.
Desired Skills And Experience
- BS degree in Engineering, Physics, or related degree or equivalent technical experience
- 2–5 years of production/manufacturing/process engineering experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485
- 2–5 years of production/manufacturing/process engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and CAD modeling software
