We are seeking a dedicated Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. The candidate must be willing to work in an office setting on a day-to-day basis but not be afraid to get dirty in the field or help a crew load up in the morning. There will be everyday use of spreadsheets, e-mails, construction drawings, and different estimating software. This person will be asked to work in the shop, the field and office to learn all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in commercial construction, be good with numbers, have excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimating:
- Process take-offs of quantities by interpreting construction drawings.
- Ensure timely analyzing of project opportunities, bidding of applicable projects and processing of bid proposals.
- Execute follow-up of post-bid procedures.
Project Management:
- Maintain clean and organized project files.
- Maintain communication with customers to properly schedule and execute work agreements.
- Maintain accurate job costing, follow-up of change orders and processing of billing.
Qualifications:
- Prior schooling and/or experience in Estimating or Project Management.
- Strong knowledge of construction.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with vendors, customers, and team members.
