DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and schedule new projects with project managers and project superintendents.
- Review subcontracts, purchase orders, and materials procurement in order to effectively manage projects.
- Develop and implement submittal schedule. Reviews submittals for accuracy.
- Assist in the development of construction schedules, scopes of work, bid package development and help solicit subcontractors and suppliers.
- Communicates project information to project managers, project superintendents, and project administrators.
- Ensures all clarifications, changes, directives, RFI’s, etc., are updated on the “as-built” drawings and are fully coordinated with the project team and all subcontractor/suppliers.
- Pursues change orders due to increased project scope or cost overruns.
- Assists superintendents in expediting progress of project in every way possible.
- Assists with directing all work on smaller projects.
- Assists with developing pricing for smaller scopes of work.
- Communicates with Owners, Architects, Engineers and Tenants on construction related issues.
- Attends project progress meetings when requested.
- Assists with the development and completion of punch list activities.
- Prepare and submit closeout documents to Owners.

- Performs other duties upon request.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in construction management or related field.
- Five (5) years previous construction experience (or related degree in lieu of experience).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of construction process, practices and documentation.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and spreadsheet applications.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Normal Working Environment
- May be working in construction areas where noise, dust, and potential for hazards are evident.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- May be climbing on ladders
- May be walking on scaffolding
- May be exposed to heat, cold, fumes, fluorescent and other types of lighting, sterile areas and loud noises.
