Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for one of its operating units located in the mid-western US. Loar group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace & defense market. To date Loar has acquired 18 niche aerospace & defense manufacturing businesses across the US and Europe.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, detail-oriented engineering professional motivated by the opportunity to join a growing business in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. Aerospace manufacturing or manufacturing experience in another highly regulated industry is highly preferred.

The Manufacturing Engineer will:

Be a crucial part of a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for owning the manufacturing processes across the organization.
Identify, research, and design new processes, assembly methods, and manufacturing equipment that will improve process flow, increase capacity, and improve quality.
Prepare written ROI, implementation plans, and time lines that align with the business’ financial and operational objectives.
Work in conjunction with the quality department to implement production control and proactive SPC and assist in the analysis of non-conforming product.
Drive the manufacturing launch of new and revised products.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or a related engineering degree.
Proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation to include GD&T requirements.
Ability to accurately and efficiently generate designs and SOPs as required.
Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment highly preferred.
