Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Entry Level Material Engineer role based in Jersey City, NJ. The role involves conducting research and development, selecting appropriate materials, evaluating material properties, and applying the fundamentals of materials science and metallurgy to design and problem-solving. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize material performance and ensure cost-effective solutions is also a key responsibility of this role. Additionally, tracking emerging trends in the materials and manufacturing industries may be required.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Research and Development (R&D) and the ability to contribute to innovative projects.
- Knowledge of materials and material selection processes for various applications.
- Understanding of materials science fundamentals and practical applications.
- Familiarity with metallurgy concepts and their real-world uses.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related engineering field.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with material testing and analysis tools, as well as familiarity with industry software, is a plus.
