Title: Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor - Power Distribution
Reporting Structure: Vice President of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability, including:
- Analyzing company processes and procedures.
- Developing process enhancement strategies.
- Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
- Establishing norms and standards of company performance.
- Monitoring staff performance and organizational processes.
- Lead the manufacturing engineering team to execute projects efficiently.
- Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools.
- Manage the estimation of production costs, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production and facility equipment and machinery.
- Implement strategies to improve quality and productivity.
- Coordinate with design engineering and manufacturing teams on product launch activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
- Develop operational budgets and control costs within budget.
- Stay abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies and systems to improve processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Analyze manufacturing data and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage and lead a team of manufacturing engineers.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop new product prototypes and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement training programs for new processes and equipment.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment and machinery.
- Prepare and present manufacturing reports to senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements and production enhancements.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Process Management, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with CAD software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing best practices and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
