Rampart Search and Rescue team member responds to lost person or child, recovery and evidence searches in Adams County and on the eastern plains of Colorado. We responded to Tornados, Floods, Blizzards and other emergencies. Example When I-70 is closed east of Denver our search and rescue team is called to look for stranded motorist and take them to the closest shelters.
We're looking for those willing to help others in 'their' time of need. We provide monthly ongoing training and county uniforms (after 1 year of service). We work with several dispatch centers, along with city, county and state agencies. We have been involved in several high-profile rescues over the years, like the Boulder flood in 2013. We have our team meeting on the third Wed of the month at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office sub-station, 4201 East 72nd Ave in Commerce City at 7PM on the second floor. All are welcome to meet the team and ask questions. We also conduct classroom or field trainings each month.
Our internal teams 4x4, Dive, Cave rescue, Bike, Cadets (10 to 20 years of age), Drone and K9 (search dogs)
Advancement, such as team lead, mission coordinator, board, etc. You do not need to have a 4x4. You can ride shotgun and help run radios, navigate, etc. We also own two ambulances we use as squads and you can help on their upkeep, drive them to the rescue location and the list goes on. We have a lot of needs and there is never a slow time of year. Rampart Search and Rescue has been the Adams County’s Primary search and rescue agency since 1999. We've been serving the community for 23 years.
