Position Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for overall project performance and financial performance of the construction project, creating a pathway for team success. This role reports to the Island Manager.
- Read and understand the project plans, specifications, contracts, and contract documents.
- Read, understand, and manage all contract responsibilities including scope of work, terms and conditions, RFI’s, schedules, and reporting. PM is responsible for understanding, managing and mitigating the overall risk.
- Understand and coordinate with all trades on submittal development and timely release of information.
- Manage the schedule, client expectations, change proposals/orders, billing, and subcontractors/trade partners.
- Plan, monitor, forecast and report project financials including projections and manpower forecasts.
- Buyout, procurement of major equipment and subcontractors, including responsibility to order and track major equipment releases.
- Facilitate and manage the QC and progress of shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements including construction schedule.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with the General Contractor, A&E team, Owner, Subcontractors/Trade Partners, various company divisions and other key participants
- Ensure all project documentation is controlled, collected, and stored as per company protocol.
- Support and participate in the company safety program.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Project Manager, or Construction Manager
- Experience in commercial HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, and Fire Protection required
- Experience with Federal Contracting and experience with US ACOE, NAVFAC preferred
- Understanding and experience with FAR contracting rules and regulations
- Comfortable supervising multifaceted projects at the same time and to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
- Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Office Suite experience required
- AutoDesk Build experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Team Oriented with high integrity
