MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Option I: Two years' experience at the level of Engineering Testing Aid II
Option II: Completion of two years in an accredited college or university with specialization in engineering or a physical science. Eighteen months experience conducting physical tests may be substituted for each year of the required college training.
LICENSE: A valid California Class "C" Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
You MUST meet the requirement(s) in order to be appointed to fill any vacancies related to this recruitment. PHYSICAL CLASS: Physical Class IV - Arduous: This class involves frequent heavy lifting over 25 pounds, often combined with bending, twisting, or working above ground on irregular surfaces. It includes those positions that occasionally demand extraordinary physical activity such as those in Safety positions.

- Experience at the level of Los Angeles County Engineering Testing Aid II is defined as: Performs standardized physical tests on various engineering construction materials. To receive credit for your education, include a copy of your official diploma, official transcript, or letter/certificate from an accredited institution within five (5) days of filing your application. The document should show the date the degree was conferred and be in English; if it is in a foreign language, it must be translated and evaluated for equivalency to U.S. standards. EXAM CONTENT: During your initial work period, the appointing department will evaluate your performance. Those who achieve a passing score on this evaluation will be considered for permanent appointment.
