Job Summary:
The Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for preparing documents and overseeing completion of real estate loans for all bank locations, as well as assisting with the processing of long-term real estate files (including turn downs). This includes assisting the loan documentation area as needed during times of heavy workloads and/or absences. Excellent customer service is required. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely matter; and must work well in groups as well as independently. Communicates with loan department personnel to promote efficient and correct workflow and demonstrates high level of effective and efficient multi-tasking. Must demonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines. Possess a work ethic that includes neatness and punctuality. Represent the Bank with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Prepares documents and oversees completion of real estate files for all bank locations.
- Responsible for the payout of all real estate invoices associated with files.
- Demonstrates a high aptitude for multi-tasking effectively and efficiently.
- Prepares payment books.
- Thorough knowledge of Regs B, O, Z, AA, BB, RESPA, TRID, HPQM, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Fair Housing Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Bank Bribery ACT and FDIC.
- Responsible to pay monthly flood bill and the tracking involved to do that.
- Assists with the processing of long-term real estate files (including turn downs).
- Responsible for tracking and storage of real estate abstracts.
- Work with Compliance Department to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assists auditors and examiners as needed.
- Able to assist loan documentation area as needed. This includes times of illness, vacation or heavy workloads.
- Cross-sells bank services, explaining such matters as various types of accounts and certificates, interest and compounding rates. Suggests the use of safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
