Overview:
The Lead Technician is the Project Managers direct report. They are responsible for utilizing the resources of the team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and on budget with the customer’s satisfaction at the end of the project. In addition, the Lead Technician is responsible for partnering with the Project Manager in procuring all work by assisting with emergency response lockdowns, estimating and locking down jobs handed down to them, managing the work and closing out of each project.
When needed, the Lead may need to step in as the acting Project Manager in times that the Project Manager is not available.
Is IICRC certified and is either at the level of “journeymen” or working toward it with a minimum of 3 classes passed
Overall Responsibilities:
Overall customer satisfaction, managing the Technicians and Helpers on the job sites to ensure that the work scope is done safely and properly. To keep the jobs on time and on budget. To assist the Project Manager in locking down jobs, estimating and reviewing billing for final approval by the Project Manager. Training, mentoring and employee development of all staff under your supervision. Cooperate with Warehouse to control tools, materials, and equipment.
Administrative Duties:
· Use PSA, Encircle, Xactimate, Contents Tracker etc. (software platforms) on all necessary functions; timecards, samples, notes, photos, moisture maps and dry logs. All customer data entry and management of job-related information including collecting signed Certificates of Completion.
· Lead Technician can expertly use moisture meter, hygrometer, thermal imager, computer, iPad, laptop, phone, 360 camera and any other technology necessary to do the job.
· Cooperates with management & supports company systems and procedures.
· Efficient with personal time management.
· Conduct employee evaluations and reviews of direct report employees under their supervision.
· Take responsible shifts at managing the emergency 24 hour phone lines on behalf of the company at determined intervals for one-week assignments at a time.
Production Duties:
- Qualified to responsibly drive all company vehicles
- Meet with customers and/or insurance adjusters to inspect projects and outline expectations.
- Prepare a detailed estimate including floor plans, pictures, and site visit notes.
· Takes direction from the Project Manager and ensures that the scope of work is completed within time and budget requirements.
· Can competently act as a crew leader by directing and managing onsite crews
● Able to fill in for project manager on occasion and assign needed personnel, when necessary, in coordination with Project Manager and dispatch coordinators.

● Mentor their subordinates and work with them to train and encourage them to learn and improve their ability to be promoted and take on more responsibility
● Contributes ideas and suggestions for improving systems and/or skills of others
● Expertly designs and sets containment barriers, conduct and direct selective demolition and salvage, knows how to size, select and set equipment, knows how to monitor and adjust job conditions as needed, finalizes project reporting.
● Interfaces with the customer in cooperation with the Project Manager to align contract requirements and responsibilities, identify scope changes, field customer questions and concerns to best manage scope, cost and risk to the company.
● Keep warehouse advised of materials consumed, inventory expiring, and any special needs that will require planning and coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.18 - $35.14 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 60 per week
