About the Role

Rainbow Restoration of Orange County is seeking a dependable and skilled General Construction Technician to support residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects. This position plays a critical role in rebuilding properties following water, fire, smoke, and mold damage.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, shows up ready to work, and wants long-term growth with a stable company.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general construction and repair work including:

Demolition and debris removal

Framing, drywall installation and repair

Baseboards, trim, doors, and minor carpentry

Painting, texture, and finish work

Flooring removal and installation (LVP, laminate, carpet, tile – as applicable)

Assist with restoration-related construction following water, fire, or mold remediation

Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites

Follow scope of work, plans, and direction from project managers or lead technicians

Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently

Communicate job progress, material needs, and issues clearly

Adhere to company safety standards and jobsite protocols

Qualifications

2+ years of general construction or remodeling experience

Strong working knowledge of basic construction methods and tools

Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing, ladder work)

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Ability to work independently or as part of a crew

Professional attitude and respect for clients’ properties

Ability to pass background check (required)

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience in insurance restoration or disaster recovery work

Drywall, paint, or finish carpentry specialization

Familiarity with jobsite documentation or mobile work apps
