Position Summary

Lead assigned customized equipment, assembly/test-line and industrial automation projects from formal scope handover through execution, final acceptance, payment follow-up and closeout. Own quality, cost, delivery, project risk, controlled changes and financial results (project P&L) for the scope contractually assigned to Haosen North America. Integrate customer needs, China business-unit engineering/manufacturing, North American purchasing, installation contractors and commissioning resources to deliver profitable, safe and contract-compliant outcomes under either of Haosen’s two delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Scope Handover, Contract Review & Project Baseline | 范围移交、合同评审与项目基线

At award or assignment, review customer contract, PO, approved proposal and design SOW, technical specifications, customer standards, commercial milestones, exclusions, warranties and risks; identify gaps before acceptance of execution responsibility.

Lead internal and customer kickoffs; establish and obtain approval of a Project Charter, work-breakdown structure (WBS), baseline scope, schedule, budget, resource plan, RACI, risk register, action log and communication/escalation plan.

2. Integrated Engineering, Procurement & China BU/Subcontract Management | 设计、采购及中国事业部/分包协同

Coordinate China BU Project Managers, engineering and manufacturing teams against internal SOWs and milestones; verify design reviews, technical interfaces, drawings, BOM, documentation and contractual deliverables without substituting for design-engineering approval.

Coordinate purchasing and qualified contractors to ensure supplier commitments, technical acceptance, material readiness, logistics and customs interfaces, delivery dates and corrective actions support the approved baseline.

Plan FAT/run-off and pre-shipment readiness, including safety, labeling, wiring, open issues, design freeze, teardown, packaging and documentation; do not release equipment solely to meet a billing milestone when technical readiness is insufficient.

3. Installation, Commissioning & Site Delivery | 现场安装、调试与交付

Plan and direct safe site execution, including staffing, contractor onboarding, unloading/rigging, installation, electrical power-on, controls integration, commissioning and SAT; establish site-specific EHS responsibilities, permits, work rules and risk controls before activities begin.

Control labor productivity, field rework, site expenses and subcontractor performance; manage customer/site readiness constraints, access, permits and dependencies; escalate issues with evidence and corrective-action owners.

4. Project Financial Control, P&L & Margin Protection | 项目财务控制、损益与利润保障

Establish an approved WBS-based cost budget, including China BU internal supply, local purchases, labor, installation/commissioning, travel, logistics, contractors, contingency and warranty provisions as applicable.

Review actual and committed costs, labor hours, forecast-to-complete and estimate-at-completion (EAC); maintain monthly forecast revenue, project gross margin/P&L and cost/schedule variance with Finance; take corrective action for overruns and margin erosion.

Seek cost reductions and productivity improvements without compromising contract requirements, quality, compliance or safety; distinguish contract profit from cash collection and escalate financial risks early.

5. Change Control & Commercial Recovery | 变更管理与商务补偿

Maintain formal change/request and deviation logs for customer, site and internal-supplier changes; evaluate effects on scope, engineering, price, budget, schedule, capacity, risks and acceptance.

Coordinate with Business Development/Commercial Management to obtain required written customer approval, change order or PO before unapproved added work; apply “no commercial authorization, no added work” subject to safety and approved exception protocols.

Track claims and recovery for additional customer scope, delays, site conditions or subcontractor-caused rework; ensure internal subcontract amendments mirror applicable external commitments and record approved baseline changes.

6. Quality, Risk, Safety & Customer Communication | 质量、风险、安全与客户沟通

Own project quality-cost-delivery (QCD) performance and coordinate Quality, Engineering and site teams for issue containment, root-cause actions, punch-list closure, documentation and readiness for acceptance.

Maintain credible customer-facing project reports on milestones, progress, issues, risks, actions and recovery plans; communicate professionally with North America, China BU and external partners and escalate material threats promptly.

Be accountable for safety compliance within the assigned site/project scope: coordinate site-specific EHS plans, hazard/risk assessments, contractor safety orientation, required training and permits, lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical/robotic/rigging safeguards, PPE and incident/near-miss reporting. Verify controls with qualified EHS/technical personnel, stop or escalate unsafe work, and follow applicable OSHA, customer-site and company requirements; retain ISO 9001 and EHS evidence.

7. Acceptance, Billing, Collection Support & Closeout | 验收、开票、回款支持与结项

Plan and drive FAT, SAT, performance testing, customer punch-list resolution and contractual final acceptance; obtain signed evidence and resolve disputed acceptance items.

Track billing milestones, acceptance documents and outstanding payments with Commercial Management and Finance; proactively resolve technical or documentary blockers to invoicing and collection, while Finance retains accounting and payment-processing authority.

Complete project closeout, cost/P&L reconciliation, scope and supplier settlement, warranty/service handover, lessons learned and ISO-controlled record archiving.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and substantial experience is acceptable.

Typically 5–8+ years of progressively responsible industrial equipment, factory automation, custom machine-building, assembly/test-system integration or comparable capital-equipment project experience, including demonstrated end-to-end Project Manager ownership.

Demonstrated successful delivery of engineered equipment projects involving multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, controls/software and manufacturing teams, including design reviews, equipment build, FAT, shipment, site installation, commissioning, SAT and final customer acceptance.

Proven accountability for project financial performance: establish and control approved budgets, monitor actual and committed costs, forecast cost-to-complete and estimate-at-completion (EAC), protect gross margin/project P&L, manage contingency, value change orders and support milestone billing and payment recovery.

Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including contract/SOW review, project charter, WBS, critical-path scheduling, resource loading, risk and action registers, RACI, baseline/change control, procurement/subcontract management, progress reporting and structured handover.

Ability to understand and challenge equipment layouts, process flow, cycle time and capacity assumptions, installation labor estimates, technical interfaces and equipment readiness without replacing discipline-specific engineering approval.

Strong customer-facing communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, ownership and escalation skills; capable of leading multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams and internal/external subcontractors without relying solely on direct reporting authority.

Proficiency with project schedules, financial spreadsheets, status dashboards and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel, Jira, ERP or equivalent systems); excellent professional written and spoken English; willingness to travel to customer and equipment sites as required.

Demonstrated practical knowledge of construction/installation-site EHS management, including contractor oversight, site hazard assessments, safe work authorization, LOTO, machine and electrical safety, lifting/rigging controls and incident escalation; able to uphold applicable OSHA and customer-site rules with EHS specialists.
