Paving Foreman – Grading & Sitework

ARMAC Construction LLC
Location: Carson City, Nevada
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive Pay – Based on Experience

Job Description

ARMAC Construction LLC is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Paving Foreman to join our team in Carson City, Nevada.

We are an established excavation, grading, paving, and underground utility contractor looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, productivity, and getting the job done right.

Our primary focus is hiring an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman who can confidently lead a paving crew, coordinate equipment and personnel, and deliver quality projects safely and efficiently.

While asphalt paving experience is our top priority, candidates with additional experience in grading, underground utilities, and snow removal are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily asphalt paving operations.
Lead paving crews, including paver operators, roller operators, laborers, and truck drivers.
Oversee asphalt placement, proper grades, compaction, joints, and finished surfaces.
Coordinate asphalt deliveries, trucking, equipment, and manpower.
Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade requirements.
Assist with grading, subgrade preparation, aggregate base, and sitework.
Participate in underground utility installations when needed, including water, sewer, and storm drain projects.
Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and customers.
Maintain a safe, productive, and organized jobsite.
Assist with snow removal operations in the Carson City area during winter months.

Qualifications

Required:

Proven experience supervising asphalt paving crews.
Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, equipment, and compaction practices.
Experience operating and coordinating paving equipment.
Ability to manage crews, schedules, and daily production.
Knowledge of grading, elevations, and proper surface preparation.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Preferred:

Experience with excavation and finish grading.
Experience with underground water, sewer, and storm drain utilities.
Ability to operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, graders, loaders, rollers, and skid steers.
Experience coordinating snow removal crews and equipment.

What We're Looking For

We want a working foreman, not just someone who supervises from the sidelines.

The ideal candidate understands the paving business, knows how to lead by example, and isn't afraid to jump on equipment or grab a shovel when necessary.

We value individuals who can think ahead, solve problems in the field, manage production costs, and take ownership of their projects.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
Opportunity for year-round employment, including winter snow removal operations.
Established local construction company.
Variety of paving, grading, excavation, and utility projects.
Opportunity to take a leadership role within our organization.
