Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Set up ladders safely and securely while adhering to construction safety harnesses and safety protocol regulations
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately follow construction plans for roofing and siding projects
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as metal panels, shingles, or masonry components to ensure efficient workflow
Support framing carpentry, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry tasks as needed on various projects
Follow all construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members
Participate in outdoor work activities including metal stud framing, restoration work, plumbing installations, or tile laying as required

Requirements

Prior construction experience with roofing repair or installation highly preferred; experience with metal roofing or single-ply membrane roofing is a plus
Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics
Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and adherence to safety protocol regulations
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
Comfortable performing heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction plans for roofing or siding projects
Excellent teamwork skills combined with handyman experience or related skills such as welding, caulking, or remodeling are advantageous
