We are a growing commercial HVAC and mechanical construction company serving Southern California. We specialize in delivering high-quality HVAC construction projects while maintaining exceptional client relationships, safety standards, and project profitability. We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Construction Project Manager to lead multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Position Summary

The Senior HVAC Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, client communication, risk management, and project profitability.

The ideal candidate has extensive HVAC construction experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of HVAC or mechanical construction project management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
Equivalent combination of trade experience and project management experience will be considered
Proven experience managing commercial HVAC construction projects
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and contract administration
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and construction documents
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction management software
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Valid California Driver's License

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management

Manage HVAC construction projects from award through project closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues
Conduct regular site visits and project meetings
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget

Financial Management

Maintain project profitability and gross margin goals
Review budgets and cost reports
Prepare and manage change orders
Verify schedule of values and monthly billings
Forecast project costs and identify potential risks

Client & Team Leadership

Serve as primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, engineers, and vendors
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers
Mentor and support project staff and field leadership
Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with company safety standards and Cal/OSHA requirements
Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning
Maintain project documentation and contract compliance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial HVAC systems, design-build, and plan-spec projects
Bluebeam proficiency
Procore proficiency
Experience managing projects exceeding $1M+
Strong estimating and value engineering knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
