Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Skilled Laborer / Carpenter to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various remodeling disciplines, construction techniques, and site experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including remodeling, restoration, framing, and custom fabrication. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team on demanding job sites.

Responsibilities

Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and siding work with precision.
Operate hand tools, power tools, , and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
Install fixtures
Conduct restoration tasks such as water damage repair, roofing repairs, and flooring installation.
Execute remodeling projects including drywall installation, tile laying, electrical wiring (basic experience preferred), plumbing (basic experience preferred), and masonry work.
Measure and cut materials accurately; handle heavy lifting safely during material transport or assembly.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites.
Assist in demolition or site preparation activities when required.
Fabricate custom components for projects using woodworking or metalworking techniques.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site environments with knowledge of framing, roofing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and other carpentry skills.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes.
Experience with restoration industry practices such as water damage restoration is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations applicable to construction projects.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Prior experience with framing, fixture installation, caulking, annd electrical/plumbing skills is advantageous but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment. Candidates with maintenance person experience or specialized skills in remodeling or manufacturing are encouraged to apply for this dynamic role.
