Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Jacksonville, FL, for a Knowledgeable Transportation Specialist. The Transportation Specialist will oversee day-to-day logistics operations, manage transportation projects, coordinate with third-party capacity providers, and ensure compliance with SOPs and KPIs. Responsibilities include optimizing transportation solutions, handling oversized and overweight shipments, and specialized projects, while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Experience in logistics, transportation management, and project management
Knowledge of SOPs, KPIs, and safety protocols
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate with third-party capacity providers and manage vendor relationships
Familiarity with truckload, intermodal, temperature-controlled, heavy haul, and platform transportation
Experience with LTL, specialized delivery, hazardous material transportation, and international logistics
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in relevant technology and software tools
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
Previous experience in the transportation industry is a must
