Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction site operations, including tasks such as site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and general labor duties. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and the knowledge to follow safety protocols on job sites.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment.
Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating basic hand tools.
Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Help with the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience as a construction laborer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and as part of a team.
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
Reliable transportation.
A positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, or skid steers.
OSHA certification or other safety training.
Ability to read blueprints or basic construction drawings.
