Superintendent Position Overview

We are currently hiring for a Superintendent in our Multi-Family Division. The Superintendent position is a liaison between our project managers, subcontractors and our customers. This important role works closely with the project managers, the general superintendent and field personnel to ensure accuracy and quality of work performed, along with scheduling, customer service, material management, and other miscellaneous duties. This position is fast paced and requires the ability to multitask. The Superintendent position includes (but is not limited to) the duties, skills and requirements stated below.

Superintendent Duties

Promote and operate within the vision and goals set forth by the organization
Work with Multi-Family General Superintendent, and Division Manager to schedule on a daily basis
Perform jobsite checks to ensure scope of work and quality
Communicate with customers, subcontractors and vendors with respect to the jobs
Organize and manage shop materials and equipment
Occasional hands on work is necessary for repairs, and miscellaneous tasks
Develop project plan.
Understand project information and have basic blueprint reading skills along with knowledge of reinforced concrete formwork and concrete finishing.
Ability to order concrete, materials and any other needed materials.
Communicates well with field team and project management team.
Responsible for ensuring project execution goals, budgets, safety protocols are met.
Ability to travel to projects as needed to cover pour days.

This position requires self motivation
Ability to take direction and learn new skills
Organizational skills are essential
Ability to verbally communicate clearly and accurately is a must
Basic computer skills are required
Basic math skills are required
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Must be able to adapt to a fast paced and constantly changing environment
Ability to handle high stress environment

Superintendent Position Requirements

Drivers license and clean driving record
Prior Construction Experience
Daily travel required & frequent overnight stays
High School diploma
Ability to operate skid steer and excavator is a plus
Strong work ethic
High energy level
In depth knowledge of construction practices and principles related to concrete.
Good organizational and communication skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, outlook.
Knows how to lead people and drive results for overall project success.
Must have OSHA 30 with First Aid and CPR certified.

Location: There is a heavy amount of travel involved for this position. Locations for this position can include: Raleigh, and the eastern part of the state.
