Manufacturing Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, implementing new technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes for machining, automated, and manual production operations.
Provide hands-on support to manufacturing operations to resolve production issues and improve process efficiency.
Support new product introduction (NPI/NPD) activities and transition new products into manufacturing.
Analyze manufacturing performance, identify process improvements, and implement corrective actions.
Perform process validations and monitor production yields, quality trends, defects, and nonconformances.
Utilize 3D CAD/CAM software to review designs, production drawings, and manufacturing programs.
Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and production efficiency.
Lead or support cost reduction, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate process expectations and train production personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience supporting manufacturing process improvement or production operations.
Experience working with 3D modeling software and manufacturing drawings.
Understanding of machining, automated manufacturing, and manual production processes.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a regulated industry such as medical device, aerospace, automotive, or similar.
Experience supporting new product development (NPD/NPI) and manufacturing process implementation.
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as NX or similar platforms.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Ability to interpret GD&T on engineering drawings.
Experience supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
Knowledge of process validation and continuous improvement methodologies.
