Your role in our mission

Over the past 6 months, we've been building tools that give our client-facing team superpowers, and the results have exceeded our most optimistic predictions.

Now, we're looking for a Product Manager to help us scale what's working with our internal AI-powered financial analysis platform. If you have a passion for working with fast-growing startups and you want to help build an AI-native Product function, come and join our amazing team!

This hire will be successful if they bring rigor to our roadmap, keep engineering on track, and help us validate ideas with our customers before they hit production. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the role:

Roadmap & Planning
- Co-develop a quarterly product roadmap with the CEO
- Translate roadmap into prioritized backlog and actionable tasks
- Maintain roadmap documentation as priorities evolve
- Use AI as a strategic thinking partner for prioritization and tradeoff decisions
Execution Management
- Run sprint cadence with CTO (standups, blockers, progress tracking)
- Surface risks early and keep building moving
- Collect and document requirements from Alex, team feedback, and focus groups
Validation & Prototyping
- Conduct monthly focus groups with airCFO team members to validate product direction and surface usability issues
- Use AI to synthesize feedback and identify patterns
- Build functional prototypes using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, v0, Replit, or similar) to test concepts before handing off to engineering

This is a contract-to-hire position with a 3-month trial period, with the expectation of converting to full-time if there's mutual fit. You'll serve as the connective tissue between our CEO's vision and our CTO's execution.

You’ve Had The Following Experiences In Your Career

You have 2-4 years of product management experience
You've worked at early-stage startups or small product teams and are comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
You're conversant in engineering and can discuss technical tradeoffs with our CTO
You already use AI tools daily for writing PRDs, synthesizing research, and thinking through problems

AI fluency is core, not a nice-to-have — You're comfortable building rough prototypes with AI-assisted tools and actively experiment with new AI workflows
You see AI as a multiplier for what a small team can accomplish, not as a novelty
Strong documentation and communication habits
Self-directed and don't need close management to stay on track
Comfortable working async with a distributed team
Nice to have: Fintech, accounting software, or startup services context

What is the compensation package?
- Structure: 3-month contract (1099), converting to full-time employment with mutual fit
- Compensation: $100K-130K (pro-rated during contract period based on hours) + bonus eligibility
