Whitman Development Group is seeking a dependable and skilled Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong stair stringer experience and a versatile carpentry background who is comfortable handling a wide range of residential and light commercial tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard
Perform framing for walls, floors, and roofs
Accurately cut and install stair stringers
Install siding, cabinets, flooring, and windows
Perform soffit and gutter repairs with precision
Apply caulking and finishing materials for clean, durable results
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Fabricate custom pieces when needed for specific projects
Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety standards
Collaborate with other tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers) to complete projects efficiently

Qualifications:

Proven carpentry experience in residential and/or commercial settings
Proficiency with framing, finish work, and custom carpentry
Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision
Skilled in tool use and jobsite safety
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude
