Foxterra Design is seeking a senior position to join our Orange County office with experience in Project Management, Design, Construction Documents, and Residential Landscape Architecture.

Role Description

This role is a senior position within the studio, responsible for overseeing and upholding the success of projects while contributing to the strategic growth of the firm. You will serve as a design and operational leader, mentoring project teams, managing client relationships, and upholding the firm's standards of excellence. You will help bridge daily project delivery with long-term firm vision and profitability.

Candidates are required to submit a resume and portfolio of built or conceptual works highlighting drawings sets, design, materials, details, and construction.

Expected compensation will be based on individual experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage a growing and efficient project team consisting of designer, project coordinators, and project managers
Provide mentorship to the team in areas of design and construction
Maintain and strengthen key client/contractor relationships
Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure all deliverables meet firm standards and regulatory requirements
Help define and implement best practices, templates, and workflows that enhance studio efficiency and quality
Resolve high-level project issues related to scope, timeline, client expectations, and coordination

Minimum Requirements:

8+ years of experience in Landscape Architecture/Landscape Design
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university
A keen eye for design, creativity and attention to detail.
Proficiency with CAD and Adobe. Pool Studio is a massive plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead coordination conversations with Clients, Consultants, and Contractors
A strong attention to detail
Knowledge of plant material, hardscape material and landscape construction principles

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods.
Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment such as a printer, telephone, copy machine.
Requires repetitive motions with hands and wrists (e.g., typing, mouse use, writing, drawing).
Ability to safely navigate active construction sites.
Ability to read printed materials, plans, and computer screens.
Frequent communication with staff and clients; must be able to exchange accurate information clearly via email, telephone, and verbally.
Ability to lift and carry materials or packages up to 20 pounds.
Ability to maintain focus in an open office environment with moderate noise levels.
Access to reliable transportation for occasional travel to job sites, client meetings, or other office locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
