Our client is seeking an experienced Director of IT to oversee technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, strategy, and team leadership across the organization. This is a fully onsite leadership role in Columbus, OH, responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, modernizing systems, and ensuring secure, reliable technology performance.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Lead IT operations including infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, helpdesk, and cloud services.
Oversee IT budgets, forecasting, vendor management, and technology procurement.
Manage IT policies, standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
Provide leadership and mentorship to IT staff, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, system upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
Partner with executive leadership to support digital transformation efforts and evaluate new technologies.
Ensure strong cybersecurity posture through monitoring, risk assessments, incident response, and security best practices.
Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and backup strategies.
Collaborate with all departments to deliver high-quality support and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in leadership.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), cybersecurity, and systems administration.
Proven experience managing IT teams and leading organizational change.
Experience developing IT budgets, roadmaps, and strategies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics to executives.
Strong decision-making skills with a business-first mindset.
