Director of Infrastructure & Security
The Director of Infrastructure & Security is a senior IT leadership role responsible for overseeing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT operations within a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment. This role drives technology strategy, operational resilience, and digital transformation while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable systems that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
- Oversee cybersecurity governance, including IAM, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Manage DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, container platforms, and DevSecOps integration.
- Direct IT operations including networking, servers, disaster recovery, backups, service desk operations, and enterprise systems support.
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT roadmap, budget, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Lead and mentor infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI solutions, to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
- Partner with executive leadership to align technology strategy with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in leadership or management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Strong background in cybersecurity, networking, IAM, disaster recovery, and enterprise security tools.
- Experience managing DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain industries.
- Familiarity with TMS, WMS, ERP, or fleet management systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Azure, AWS, or ITIL.
- Experience with transportation-related compliance standards (CTPAT, FMCSA, TSA).
- Knowledge of generative AI platforms and enterprise AI governance.
- Experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and distributed IT environments.
