Summary
The Divisional Vice President of Operations will provide executive leadership and oversight for a portfolio of full-service hotels across Texas and Louisiana. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing financial performance, and ensuring alignment with company values and strategic objectives.
We are seeking a highly experienced hospitality leader with deep brand knowledge, proven owner relations expertise, and the ability to mentor and inspire senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to General Managers and property leadership teams.
- Drive financial performance by maximizing revenue, profitability, and asset value.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, franchise agreements, and ownership expectations.
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and overall service delivery.
- Conduct regular property reviews, including P&L analysis, forecasting, and performance benchmarking.
- Partner with senior leadership on capital planning, property improvement plans, and new hotel openings.
- Support company growth strategy through due diligence, transitions, and integration of new properties.
- Serve as a culture ambassador, promoting company values across all properties.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Direct oversight of General Managers and property leadership teams within the assigned division.
- Provide guidance, performance evaluations, and accountability to ensure operational and financial success.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, including multi-property oversight.
- Full-service hotel experience required.
- Demonstrated success in improving both top-line and bottom-line performance.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and asset management.
- Extensive knowledge of major hotel brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.) with a proven track record of franchise/owner relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
Skills & Competencies- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentoring senior leaders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with business acumen and the ability to align operations with organizational goals.
- Expertise in guest service, quality management, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to influence, resolve conflicts, and drive results across diverse teams.
Compensation & Logistics- Base Salary: $170,000–$190,000
- Bonus/Incentives: 25–30%
- Travel: Up to 50% (site visits as needed)
- Location: Preferred in Houston; possible relocation assistance available. Candidates may also reside in a city with one of the properties (e.g., San Antonio).
- When not traveling, the VP will be onsite in the office.
