We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Specialist. The job is a critical role for our team; you will streamline efficiency and improve overall processes around sourcing electronic components. You will locate, evaluate, and develop vendors outside of our approved vendor list (AVL). Utilizing Microchip USA’s core values of Efficiency, Dedication, and Excellence, you will be set up for success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to ensure the company acquires the best quality electronic parts
- Assess the quality, reliability, and production capacity of potential suppliers based on factors like quality certifications, delivery times, and cost structure
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best price, payment terms, and delivery schedules with a win-win mindset
- Undertake contract management regarding complex procurement
- Understand the supplier and internal politics to successfully influence the decision makers and achieve Microchip USA’s and our client’s needs
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- An understanding of Electronic Component sourcing
- Experience in Supplier Management
- An overall understanding of the Electronics Market and component types
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
- Strong communication and written skills
- Integrity and discretion when handling internal/external company information
- Strong influence management skills

Outro:
This is a full-time position. The job is in-office, in-person only. Reliable transportation to the office is required. Our working hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at our office in Houston.
