We are a group of people united by a strong purpose.
We want you to get to know us, and Giuseppe, our very own artificial intelligence.
We love good food, but above all, we love the planet, and that's why, to protect it, we reinvent the food industry, one delicious bite at a time, elevating what we eat, through our technology and based on plants.
Our recipe has three mega-important components: science, technology, and, of course, disruptive talents who work daily to create a better future.
At NotCo we are not and do not seek to be the perfect company, but rather the right one. We are here to produce changes, and that is why we dare, fail, and sometimes achieve incredible successes.
We are currently seeking a Scientist - Food & Technology Applications to join our innovative Artificial Intelligence group and will report to the Director of Tech Applications, North America. This hybrid role combines food science expertise with customer success responsibilities to onboard and enable customers in using the platform. The incumbent will design, execute, and optimize experiments using the AI platform, integrate it into formulation workflows, and act as the customer-facing liaison to ensure customers derive full value from the technology. They will build structured processes from scratch, drive technology adoption, and feed customer insights back into product development.
Specifically, this person will:
- Design and execute experiments using the AI platform for food applications.
- Integrate technology into product formulation and development workflows.
- Onboard customers to the platform: lead training sessions, demonstrations, and value-realization discussions.
- Ensure customers successfully adopt the platform and achieve the expected ROI from their investment.
- Gather technical and usability feedback from internal and external customers and recommend actionable insights to ML and software teams.
- Act as the “voice of the customer” internally: identify obstacles to customers’ success, communicate client business drivers, and propose enhancements.
- Participate in client meetings to present project approach, results, and ongoing value-realization plans.
- Use industry knowledge to identify challenges in the customer’s workflow and drive improvements in the AI platform’s performance.
- Scope, propose, and develop new technical solutions or processes that enhance the platform, the formulation workflow, and the customer experience.
- Share knowledge and communicate emerging technologies, best practices, and lessons learned across internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3 + years of hands-on R&D experience in the food industry.
- Demonstrated experience in experimental design, sensory evaluation, and familiarity with food processing equipment.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing or client-engagement role (e.g., training, onboarding, managing customer usage/relationship) — ability to build relationships, understand client business drivers, and drive value.
- Demonstrated ownership of projects with accountability for outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and matrixed teams (regional and global), including R&D, AI/software engineering, product, and customer-success functions.
- Highly logical, detail-oriented, action-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment (including startup-like context).
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel and extended trips.
