HumCap's client is seeking a driven Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Hardware/Electronics) who holds a commitment to excellence and innovation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality throughout the entire lifecycle from new product development and pilot builds to production and repair. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Repair teams to validate new designs, oversee quality control processes (IQC, AQL, OQC), and maintain high standards for all products shipped and repaired. This position is integral to the company's cross-functional approach to delivering reliable, high-quality hardware to customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead product quality testing and validation for all phases of new product introduction (tablet, battery, charger), ensuring designs meet performance and reliability standards
- Plan and coordinate daily activities to meet operational goals efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Develop and execute quality inspection plans (IQC, OQC, AQL) for production units and incoming materials.
- Perform detailed failure analysis, collect test data, and report quality trends across development, production, and repair lines.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Repair teams to identify root causes and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Audit repair quality to ensure all RMA products meet functional and visual standards before shipment.
- Maintain accurate quality records, test logs, and performance dashboards to support continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of accountability and “extreme ownership” in product quality, driving excellence through data and process discipline.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in product quality assurance, manufacturing testing, or hardware validation (consumer electronics preferred).
- Proficient in data analysis, Excel dashboards, and test report generation to identify trends and issues quickly.
- Hands-on experience with QA/QC tools (inspection checklists, AQL sampling, failure logs, RMA testing).
- Strong technical and analytical mindset; comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot hardware.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proactive problem-solver with high ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
