Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented North American Air Freight Sales/Operations Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep expertise in the North American air freight market to drive sales growth (for sales-focused roles) or ensure seamless operational execution (for operations-focused roles), while maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to industry regulations. Fluency in both English and Mandarin/Cantonese is critical to collaborate with cross-border clients, partners, and internal teams. Candidates must hold a valid work visa for the U.S. or Canada (e.g., H-1B, TN, PR, Citizenship) to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

For Sales-Focused Roles:

Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our North American air freight client base, targeting importers, exporters, manufacturers, and e-commerce businesses.
Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and client pain points in the North American air cargo sector.
Manage end-to-end client relationships: conduct needs assessments, provide customized air freight solutions (e.g., express, standard, charter), negotiate contracts, and resolve post-delivery issues.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure client requirements (e.g., delivery timelines, cargo security, documentation) are met, and proactively communicate service updates to clients.
Track sales performance against quarterly/annual targets, prepare sales reports, and adjust strategies to achieve or exceed KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, client retention rate).
Attend industry events (e.g., air freight conferences, trade shows) in North America to network with potential clients and stay updated on market regulations (e.g., TSA, CBSA, CBP).

For Operations-Focused Roles:

Coordinate daily North American air freight operations, including booking cargo space with airlines (e.g., FedEx, UPS, Air Canada Cargo), arranging pick-up/delivery, and managing cargo storage.
Ensure compliance with all North American air freight regulations: prepare and verify documentation (e.g., air waybills, commercial invoices, customs declarations) to avoid delays or penalties.
Monitor cargo status in real time using tracking systems, resolve operational issues (e.g., flight delays, cargo damage, customs holds) promptly, and communicate updates to sales teams and clients.
Collaborate with airlines, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to optimize operational efficiency (e.g., reducing transit time, minimizing costs) while maintaining service quality.
Maintain accurate operational records (e.g., shipment logs, expense reports) and generate performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery rate, error rate) for management review.
Train and support junior operations staff on North American air freight processes, industry best practices, and regulatory changes.
