Freight Account Manager (Ops + Sales Track)
Jordan Logistics LLC | Scranton–Wilkes-Barre, PA area (remote to start; Dickson City office coming in 2027)
Full-time | $45,000–$55,000 base, higher for experience | Year-one OTE of $70K–$100K+ for those who sell

About us
Jordan Logistics is a fast-growing freight agency operating under Wheelhouse Logistics. We move LTL and truckload freight for manufacturers, distributors, and consumer brands across the U.S. We’re building our team in Northeast PA, and this is one of our first hires, so you’ll be in on the ground floor.

The role
You’ll own our customer accounts from booking to delivery. Customers will know you as their go-to person: you quote and book their freight, keep them updated, solve problems before they turn into complaints, and close out every shipment cleanly. While you run the accounts, I focus on bringing in new business.

Some people want to master operations and stay there, and that’s a great career here. Others want to sell. If you have full-cycle sales experience, or you want to build it, you can prospect, close, and grow your own accounts on top of the base. How far you take this role is up to you.

What you’ll do

Be the main point of contact for a book of active shipper accounts
Quote, book, and dispatch LTL and truckload freight in our TMS
Cover truckloads: post loads, negotiate with carriers, vet carriers, and send rate confirmations
Track every shipment and keep customers updated before they have to ask
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and warehouses
Resolve exceptions: reweighs, reclasses, missed pickups, accessorial disputes, and claims
Collect PODs and paperwork so shipments bill fast and accurately
Find ways to grow existing accounts with new lanes, modes, and locations
Sales track: prospect, pitch, and close new shippers, then manage those accounts as your own

Who we’re looking for
We’ll consider a range of backgrounds:

Operators: 1+ year in freight brokerage, 3PL, dispatch, or logistics customer service, and you’re the person who never lets a load slip through the cracks
Account managers: you’ve owned customer relationships in freight or logistics and know how to keep accounts happy and growing
Full-cycle salespeople: you’ve prospected, closed, and managed your own book, and you want a seat at a growing company instead of being a number at a big brokerage

Across all three, you’ll need:

Strong organization and follow-through
Clear, fast communication by phone and email
A calm head when a load goes sideways
Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets and willingness to learn a TMS, load boards, and a CRM
The drive to work independently while we’re remote

Nice to have

LTL experience (freight classes, NMFC, accessorials)
Load board experience (DAT, Truckstop) and carrier vetting
An existing network of shippers

Compensation

Base: $45,000–$55,000, with a higher base available for experienced candidates
Commission: on new business you bring in
Year-one OTE: $70K–$100K+ for candidates who sell, depending entirely on what you produce
Performance bonus for operations excellence

To apply: Send your resume and tell us which track interests you more, operations or sales, and why.
