Job description:

About Us

Radford Doors & Gates has been around for over 80 years, proudly serving San Diego with top-notch overhead doors and gates. We’ve built a name by doing quality work, standing by our word, and treating our team and customers right. Around here, we live by a few simple values:

Work hard
Treat customers well
Do the right thing
Keep a positive, can-do attitude

If those sound like values you can get behind, keep reading.

What We’re Looking For

We need a skilled Foreman to lead our crews on commercial door and gate projects. You’ll be the go-to person on site, keeping the jobs moving, supporting your crew, and making sure everything is done safely and up to standard. If you know your way around doors and gates and enjoy mentoring others, this could be your spot.

What You’ll Do

Lead and support a crew on installs and repairs for doors and gates (commercial, residential, hollow metal doors, storefront glass doors, and dock equipment — we’ll train you on anything new).
Keep projects on schedule and use resources wisely.
Step in with your technical know-how to make sure jobs are done right.
Walk job sites to check quality and safety.
Team up with project managers and sales to keep customers happy.
Train newer team members and help them grow.
Keep safety front and center.
Show up every day with the values we care about: hard work, good customer service, honesty, and positivity.

What You Bring

At least 4 years of hands-on experience with doors and gates.
Leadership skills — people listen to you and trust your guidance.
Comfort reading blueprints and job specs.
A solid focus on safety.
Problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
A good attitude and pride in doing quality work.
Technical proficiency in overhead door and gate systems and equipment.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Most companies say they appreciate their people. We mean it. Our techs and foremen stick around because they feel valued, respected, and supported. If you’re on the fence, here’s the deal: come meet us. No need to polish up a resume or wear a suit. Just stop by for a quick 15-minute chat. Worst case? You leave knowing we’re the real deal, even if it’s not the right time for you.
