Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential work and will be responsible for constructing primarily new homes and renovations within 45 minutes of Windsor, VT.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials based on blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, drywall, framing, and trim.
Build frameworks such as walls, floors, and doorframes using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans.
Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Collaborate with contractors, electricians, plumbers, and other trades as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe job site.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program preferred.
Proven experience as a carpenter (typically 2+ years).
Proficiency in using carpentry tools, equipment, and materials.
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor and indoor job sites in varying weather conditions.
May involve standing, bending, lifting, and climbing for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required on job sites.
