Position Title: Vice President of Operations

The Vice President of Operations will lead the company’s operational execution across manufacturing, supply chain, program management, quality, and engineering support functions. This role is responsible for ensuring programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with U.S. government and defense industry standards.

Working closely with the executive leadership team, the VP of Operations will drive operational performance, improve manufacturing efficiency, and support the company’s continued growth within the defense and aerospace market.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations including manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, quality assurance, and program execution.
Ensure programs meet cost, schedule, and performance targets across multiple defense contracts.
Improve operational efficiency through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement initiatives.

Program Execution

Work closely with program managers to ensure successful delivery of government and defense programs.
Monitor operational KPIs including on-time delivery, quality performance, and cost management.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and supply chain.

Strategic Operations

Support executive leadership in executing company strategy and operational growth initiatives.
Identify operational risks and ensure compliance with defense regulations and standards.
Contribute to operational planning aligned with company expansion and program demand.

Team Leadership

Lead and develop operational teams across manufacturing, supply chain, and program management.
Build a culture focused on accountability, performance, and operational excellence.

Experience Required

12+ years of leadership experience in operations within defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and program execution.
Experience supporting DoD programs or working with prime contractors.
Knowledge of defense compliance frameworks including FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and AS9100.
Proven experience managing teams and operations within a $100M+ revenue organization.
