We're growing, and we're looking for a driven, experienced Project Manager to help us deliver that standard at scale.

The Role

As a Project Manager at Hemlock Homes, you'll own the full lifecycle of custom home builds — coordinating trades, managing timelines, controlling budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact between our clients, subcontractors, and internal team. You thrive in the field, you solve problems before they become crises, and you take personal pride in delivering a finished home that exceeds expectations.

What You'll Do

Manage all phases of custom home construction from pre-construction meeting through certificate of occupancy
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring trades are sequenced and on time
Monitor project budgets, track costs, and flag variances early
Conduct regular site visits and job site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards
Serve as the primary client contact — providing clear, proactive communication throughout the build
Coordinate with engineers and municipalities on permits and approvals
Vet, schedule, and manage subcontractor relationships and performance
Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep builds on track
Maintain thorough project documentation including change orders and daily logs

What We're Looking For

Required:

5+ years of construction project management experience, with at least 3 years in residential custom home building
Proven ability to manage multiple active builds simultaneously
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, codes, and sequencing
Experience with project management and scheduling software (Buildertrend and Asana)
Excellent communication skills — with clients, trades, and internal stakeholders
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Valid driver's license and insurability

Preferred (Big Bonus!):

Experience managing projects across multiple geographic markets
Familiarity with varying local building codes, permit processes, and regional trade networks
Established subcontractor relationships in more than one market
Experience opening or expanding operations in a new market

Work Environment

This is a field-forward role. You'll split time between job sites and office work. Occasional travel required, especially for candidates with multi-market experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
