About the Role

Gentis Solutions is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Specialist for a client in the Cincinnati area. This role is responsible for day-to-day domestic and international shipping operations, accurate preparation of shipping documentation, and safe handling of materials in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with shipping/receiving, is forklift certified, and is comfortable balancing multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and safety.

What You’ll Do (Job Description)

Perform daily domestic and international shipping and logistics activities.
Operate a forklift and pallet jack to move, stage, and load materials safely.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, labels, and certifications (as applicable).
Organize outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper labeling, and on-time departure.
Use organizational systems to track shipments, inventory movements, and documentation.
Multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy.
Communicate effectively with internal teams (production, inventory, customer service, etc.) to resolve shipping or documentation issues.
Perform frequent bending, lifting, and manual handling of materials (up to 40 lbs).

Requirements (Must Haves)

Experience in domestic and international shipping, logistics, or a related field.
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Forklift certification required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform frequent bending and lift up to 40 lbs.

Nice to Have

Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping systems.
Prior experience preparing shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, labels, and certifications.
Familiarity with determining shipment methods based on purchase orders.
Experience with stretch wrapping, labeling, and packaging to preserve product quality.
