JOB REQUIREMENTS

A. EDUCATION: High School Education. Business, College, Nutrition courses a plus.

B. EXPERIENCE: Nutritional experience helpful.

C. SKILLS: Knowledge of programs involved with Congregate and Home Delivered Meals. Effective verbal communication. Knowledge of community programs and state agencies servicing older persons helpful.

NATURE OF WORK

Track and oversee the delivery of the Title IIIC2 home bound delivered meals program utilizing paid employees working under the direction of the Nutrition Program Manager. To track and oversee the receiving and serving of all congregate meals in the Title IIIC1 program.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Track and train volunteers on schedules and routes.

2. Coordinate with the Nutrition Manager in the preparation of each day's route.

3. Maintain valid Driver's License and appropriate vehicle insurance.

4. Documentation of meals received and delivered.

5. Reconciliation of food items received with established menu other than substitutions notified and approved in advance.

6. Responsible for noting client changes to meal need.

7. Assist in delivery in the event there are insufficient drivers or volunteers.

8. Maintain sanitation and safety of work area.

9. Follow COASL policies and procedures for nutrition programs, including preparation and serving the food, receiving and storage of food, equipment use and cleaning, etc.

10. Assist the Nutrition Program Manager to provide programs for staff and seniors including physical fitness and health information (as it relates to nutrition).

11. Plan and arrange for socialization programs and activities and provide background music i.e.. radio, tapes etc.

12. In the event the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of Florida declares a disaster or a state of emergency, the OAA Site Manager shall perform his/her duties under the direction of the President / CEO as prescribed by the COASL Disaster Preparedness Plan in order to implement emergency relief measures and/or activities. All actions under this plan shall be for the purpose of ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the elderly in the disaster area.

13. Display initiative in presenting supervisors with new ideas to benefit the Council, its staff and its clients.

14. Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times with supervisors, co-workers, staff, clients and the general public.

15. Agree to accept other duties in the Title C programs as directed by my supervisor.

16. Other duties as required by the Nutrition Program Manager.
