Title: Lead Estimator / Project Manager – Luxury Stone & Tile

Location: Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY

Hours: 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM

Reports To: Director of Operations

About the Role-

We are seeking an experienced Lead Estimator and Project Manager with specialized expertise in high-end stone and tile installations for luxury residential and commercial buildings in the NYC metropolitan area. You will manage the complete lifecycle of premium projects — from initial estimating and bid submission through project execution and closeout — while mentoring junior estimators and serving as the critical liaison between architects, designers, clients, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities-

Estimating:

Lead preparation of detailed, highly accurate cost estimates for luxury residential condos, boutique apartment buildings, and commercial spaces across NYC and Brooklyn

Perform precision material takeoffs from architectural and specification documents using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and CAD

Analyze project plans, site conditions, and high-end material specifications to determine labor, material, and subcontractor costs

Develop and submit competitive bids within required deadlines, managing multiple simultaneous pursuits

Conduct pre-bid site walks and attend bid meetings to assess scope and clarify project requirements

Source and negotiate pricing with premium stone suppliers, fabricators, and installation subcontractors

Maintain and track all bid results, win/loss data, and cost databases

Project Management:

Track and manage all aspects of stone and tile construction projects, including planning, budgeting, submittals, scheduling, paperwork, and execution

Collaborate with project teams during handoff to ensure estimate assumptions are clearly communicated and executed

Oversee day-to-day project delivery, coordinate with installers, and ensure compliance with architectural specifications and building standards

Manage timelines, budgets, and quality control on active projects

Mentor and review the work of junior estimators and field teams

Stay current on material trends, pricing fluctuations, and new products in the stone, tile, and porcelain markets, particularly luxury and specialty products

Qualifications-

Required:

3 plus years of estimating experience, with at least 2 years specifically in the stone and tile industry

3 plus years of project management experience in construction or specialty contracting

Proven expertise in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications

Proficiency with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel

Strong knowledge of natural stone (marble, granite, travertine, quartzite), porcelain, ceramic, and specialty tile products

Experience with luxury residential and commercial projects in the NYC area a plus

Ability to manage multiple bids and active projects simultaneously under deadline pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor interaction

Preferred:

Experience managing luxury condo and high-rise residential projects

Familiarity with Procore, or project management platforms

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Compensation & Benefits-

$120,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
